Panoramio Tutorial
PanoramioはGoogle Mapに写真を張り付けられるサービス。
旅行やイベントなど、地図にドンドン貼り付けられ、共有することができる。
Google Earthとの連係で、世界中の様々な場所にマーキングができる。
Gogle Skech Upはさらに凄い。
３Dの建物を写し取り、その建物の色や独自のデザインを自分で作ることができる。
このソフトは教育機関でも採用され、建築デザインを志す学生にとって、スタンダードな教材となっているほか、建築デザイナーの多く愛用している。

Google+がスタート。

Googleは、6月から試験運用しているSNS、「Google+」の一般公開を開始したと発表した。
これにより、誰でも招待なしで利用できるようになる（The Official Google Blogの記事、その日本語訳、ITmediaの記事）。
ユーザーはGoogleアカウントにログインし、Google+のWebサイトで公開プロフィールなどの情報を入力すれば利用を開始できる。
このほか、ビデオチャットルームの機能強化および検索機能の追加が同時に発表されている。モバイルからのビデオチャットルーム利用も可能になっており、新機能に対応したGoogle+アプリのAndroid版は公開済み、iOS版は近日公開されるとのこと。

Chromebookという次世代のノートパソコン。
Chromebookの第1弾はSamsungの「Series 5」とAcerの「Chromebook」。Series 5はディスプレイが12.1型(1280×800)のCineCrystal LED、CPUはIntel Atom N570(1.66GHz、デュアルコア)、ストレージは16GBのSSD。HD Webカム、USB 2.0ポート×2、Mini-VGAポート、4-in-1メモリーカードスロットなどを装備する。本体サイズは29.46×21.84×2.03センチで、重さは1.48キロ。バッテリーでの連続駆動時間は8.5時間となっている。Wi-FiモデルとWi-Fi・3Gモデルがあり、価格はそれぞれ429ドルと499ドル。
